Traverse Aero Joins NVIDIA Inception

RICHMOND, Calif.—Mar. 7, 2024—Traverse Aero today announced it has joined NVIDIA Inception, a program that nurtures startups revolutionizing industries with technological advancements.

Traverse Aero is building a point-to-point, aerial delivery service for palletized cargo. It is currently focused on the development of its flagship aircraft “Orca”, the world’s first fully autonomous eVTOL drone designed specifically for palletized cargo. The Orca will deliver up to 550 lbs over a 600-mile range. It integrates seamlessly into existing supply chains and has wide-ranging utility across the commercial, security and first-responder markets.

Traverse Aero plans to use the resources available through NVIDIA Inception, including access to NVIDIA’s sensor fusion and machine learning technologies, preferred pricing on NVIDIA hardware and software, and technological assistance, to rapidly accelerate the development of the Orca’s AI co-pilot technology that senses the environment and everything happening within the aircraft to make intelligent decisions relating to aviation, navigation and communication. The program will also offer Traverse Aero the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading experts and other AI-driven organizations.

“We see immense value coming from joining NVIDIA Inception, given the spectrum of technologies it offers and the rapid pace of innovation it enables,” said Scott Parker, founder and CEO of Traverse Aero.
